Scratch 2

This picture was just a quick, pass the time thing in lab yesterday before class was over.  There are very few layers involved, three I think.  Between it and the first one, I have decided that I will need a tablet of my own to work with at home.  As I always have my laptop with me at school, I will start to use it during the labs so there will be a free lab machine available.

Scratch 1

This is my first attempt at doing a picture from scratch in Photoshop.  As I worked on this in today's lab, I figured out how to use the layer fill tool and marquee tool.  I also learned how to create several layers and manipulate the order they were in.  Changing colors was another thing I learned to make work with this picture.  I think I will enjoy this class, and learning about the tools available to me through Adobe's CS5 programs.

the beginings

The reading was pretty easy, even with bad eyesight.  As I read it made very good sense to me.  While I have used Photoshop a little, it has mostly been very basic and minor changes to photos that I have taken.  So while working on this project, I am learning new things to me about Photoshop.
